Tiger Manufacturing Marks 10 Years

With school back in session, Tiger Manufacturing is back in swing for its 10th year at Newberg High School. Tiger Manufacturing students make real parts for real customers, while earning real paychecks.

What started with just four students and a used CNC lathe has grown into a 16-student business that last year brought in over $70,000 in sales, paid $50,000 in wages, and made $15,000 profit! Wow!

A.R.E. Manufacturing has been involved with Tiger Manufacturing from the beginning. This unique classroom experience gives students a foundation for a career in machining while building practical skills that can carry into any future career path. We’re proud to be part of the program and excited to see what the next 10 years bring.

How Businesses Can Help

Tiger Manufacturing depends on support from local businesses and the manufacturing community. Businesses can help by placing orders with the student-run shop, donating equipment or materials, or offering discounts on the tools and supplies students need to do their work.

Every project and contribution helps give students more opportunities to learn, build confidence, and experience what it’s like to work in a real manufacturing environment.
